Parking Information for visitors:

From I-5, take the La Jolla Village Drive exit, and go west, then make a right on Villa La Jolla Drive.

For metered parking, go straight into the Gilman Parking Structure (at the corner of Gilman and Russell Lane) where metered parking is available on the 1st and 2nd levels. Other metered spaces are located around campus.

From the Gilman Parking Structure

Walk north on Russell Lane, to the end of the street, then turn right (east) on Lyman Lane. You will see the SRMD building on your left.  Immediately right after also on your left is the Structural and Material Engineering (SME) building.

By UCSD Shuttle

To get to the Department of Structural Engineering by UCSD shuttle, you can take either the Campus Loop, East Parking or Regents Express shuttles to Lot P510/ Canyonview stop. This stop is across the Warren Recreation Fields. From here, walk west on Voigt Drive; the SME building will be on your left.

Structural Engineering faculty offices are located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the SME building. The Business Office is on the 3rd floor in suite 341.  The offices of graduate and undergraduate programs are also located on the 3nd floor in suite 340. Structural Engineering research and instructional labs are located on the 1st and 4th floors.
