Ali Zare Hosseinzadeh, Ph.D. student working with Professor Francesco Lanza di Scalea, was awarded the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Student Travel Grant to attend the 30th ASNT Research Symposium, June 20-23, 2022, St. Louis, MO. The symposium is one of premier platforms for exchanging engineering practices in the field of Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE), and the theme for the 30th symposium emphasized the importance of NDE across several industries and advanced manufacturing, and how the digital age is changing NDE through artificial intelligence and machine learning. In this symposium, Ali presented part of his research related to developing a smart sonar system for crosstie deflection measurement.
Congratulations, Ali!
