Ali Zare Hosseinzadeh Awarded Best Student Paper Award in the SPIE Smart Structures + Nondestructive Evaluation 2022 / Health Monitoring of Structural and Biological Systems XVI

Ali Zare Hosseinzadeh, Ph.D. student working with Professor Francesco Lanza di Scalea, was awarded the 3rd place in the Best Student Paper competition organized by the Health Monitoring of Structural and Biological Systems XVI during the annual conference of the SPIE Smart Structures + Nondestructive Evaluation, held in Long Beach, CA on March 6-9, 2022. The title of the paper was “Artificial Intelligence-based Approach to Estimate Relative Deflection of Railroad Ties using Airborne Ultrasonic Testing”.
