Professor Mehran Tehrani has been named one of two inaugural recipients of Composites Part B’s prestigious Global Mid-Career “Excellence in Composites Engineering” Award, recognizing outstanding contributions to the field of composites engineering at the global level.

Professor Tehrani expressed deep gratitude to his nominator and mentor, Prof. Hyonny Kim, as well as to Composites Part B Editors-in-Chief Prof. Ole Thybo Thomsen and Prof. Uday Vaidya for this significant recognition.

In addition to this research honor, Professor Tehrani was also named among the 2025 Editor’s Top Reviewers for Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing, highlighting his continued commitment to professional service and the advancement of high-quality scholarly publishing. He acknowledged Prof. Suresh Advani for emphasizing the critical role of peer review in strengthening the composites research community.
