Congratulations to Professor Francesco Lanza di Scalea who was recently awarded Best Paper from the Composites & Multifunctional Materials Technical Division at last year’s Annual Conference of the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM) held in Costa Mesa, CA, June 2015. The paper “Passive-only Defect Detection and Imaging in Composites Using Diffuse Fields” was authored by both Prof. Lanza di Scalea and his former student Jeff Tippman. The award will be given at the 2016 Meeting of the Society in Orlando.
