Undergraduate student Ameeta Kunnath has received first place in the 2013 National Daniel W. Mead Student Contest for her paper entitled “Is it Ethical to Associate Credentials with Competency?” In order to submit her paper, Ameeta had to first win the UCSD internal competition which required her to present her ideas to a faculty member and two SCSE representatives. Ameeta then had the opportunity to present at the ASCE regional conference. Because of Ameeta’s accomplishment, she will be awarded a $1,000 award check and the Daniel W. Mead Prize for Students.
Congratulations, Ameeta!
