Simone Sternini, Ph.D. student working with Professor Francesco Lanza di Scalea, was awarded the 3rd place in the International Student Paper Competition organized by the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM) during the Annual Conference of the Society held in Indianapolis, IN on June 12-15, 2017. The title of the paper was "Ultrasonic Tomography of Structural Components using Adaptive Beamforming".
