Speaker Bio

Lon McPhail is Director of Corporate Research Partnerships at the Jacobs School of Engineering, UCSD. Lon is responsible for expanding the Jacobs School engagement with industry in supported research areas including Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Artificial Intelligence/Neural networks, CHO cell genetic- and bio-engineering, Materials and Structures during Extreme Events, and Wearable Sensors & Systems. Previously Lon was Managing President, Strategy and Advanced Technology, for ARCSAFE LLC. (the ARCitecture for SAFEr schools). He also served as Director of Navy IT Operations at Dell, Technical Director at Lockheed Martin, and Operations Analyst for Northrop Grumman. Lon was also President, CTO and Founder of Cerver Systems, Inc., a provider of military grade, cyber security for commercial enterprises. Lon is pursuing an MS graduate degree in systems architecture and engineering from USC, and holds a BS in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
